MLK Day: 10 Places to Serve This Monday

The Daily GOOD

Monday marks the 25th year of the federal Martin Luther King holiday, and as always, it's "a day on, not a day off." Thousands of service projects—sponsored in part by the Corporation for National Service and America Serves—are happening across the country and they need your help.
If you want to use Monday to build up some good karma by working to make the world better with like-minded people, check out our list of service events. You can help spruce up James Wheldon Johnson Academy in East Harlem, refurbish computers in Philly, or, if you're in Los Angeles, join GOOD's own Alissa Walker to build a school garden.
Check out the full list for more.
