| A Swedish Chiver wasn’t happy with this photo, responded with chicks (20 Photos) Posted: 01 Dec 2010 09:52 AM PST  In yesterday's 'Randomness' I posted the photo above much to the dislike of the Swedes out there. One ruggedly handsome Swedish Chiver, Johan, sent me an email arguing, "As a Swede I was upset to see the image in The Daily Afternoon Randomness Nov. 30th, #25, showing Sweden then and now. It is simply because Sweden is not filled with d-bags, but beautiful women. To show you what Sweden is actually about nowadays, please look at these images to see what we see every day when we turn on the TV."  |

How many of these dudes look familiar to you? I'm actually heading back to my old hood of Chicago to attend the games on March 30. If you're in Chi-town, tickets just went on sale to the public today at ticketmaster.com. Also, if you like to feel warm and fuzzy inside, all proceeds from the Games go to Ronald McDonald House Charities. |

| Badass underground lair in Sweden (26 Photos) Posted: 30 Nov 2010 12:59 PM PST  This is Pionen, an underground data center that belongs to Sweden's largest internet service provider, Bahnhof. Located 30 meters under solid granite bedrock, it was built in a former bomb shelter and can withstand a direct attack with a hydrogen bomb. This underground data center has greenhouses, waterfalls, and simulated daylight. If the power goes out, the backup power is provided by two German submarine engines. This place looks like the secret HQ of a James Bond villain. |
